Having loved and lost his soul mate three times, Broderick MacDougal refuses to put his beloved Blossom in danger once more by barging into her life. As a vampire with a dark past and countless enemies, he brings too many risks with him to selfishly claim her as his own. But keeping her at a distance, while he guarantees she lives a “normal” life, proves to be much more difficult than he anticipated–and so is encouraging her to find refuge in the arms of the another man. As much as Broderick hates to admit it, Theodore Coleman may be Belle's only safe haven.

Christabelle Williams has fought for her financial independence since the cradle, and nothing–not living on the poverty-stricken streets of Whitechapel, not even the handsome and rich Theodore Coleman–will make her turn to anyone for help. But Belle is attacked and her injuries jeopardize her living as a laundress. Finally accepting Theo's marriage proposal wouldn't be so bad…if she wasn't haunted by the sinful encounters with a passionate vampire in her dreams.

Jack the Ripper starts prowling the streets where Christabelle lives…and he is no mere mortal. Broderick must act quickly to get Belle out of harm's way before the Whitechapel murderer learns what she means to Broderick and use her to extract payment for an old debt.

Author Notes

A hundred years or so after Book 4 puts us in the mid-to-late 1800s, and being a huge fan of Riperology, I had to go there! The murders of the famed serial killer Jack the Ripper have always fascinated me and I've read a boat-load of books on him. No one knows who he really was…and I have a feeling we never will no matter what evidence may come to light. Everyone wants to be the one to solve the 100+ accutane online purchase year-old mystery…and so anyone who presents their theory will have it shot down by the others who want to be the one to solve the puzzle. I think that's a large part of the appeal to this unsolved crime…never knowing who did it.

Since Jack the Ripper cut the throats of his victims, I thought it a very fitting method for a vampire to hide his evil doings. Thereby spawning the idea for MIDNIGHT SAVIOR. I spent two-and-a-half years in England, living about 60 miles north of London in a small town called Yaxley…just outside of Peterborough. As such, I had plenty of time to explore the streets of London and take the Jack the Ripper tours of the Whitechapel area where the murders took place. Victorian London was very much like our society today: A large gap between the rich and the poor. However, back then it created a quite a dramatic dichotomy of environments. And it was a horrible time for a woman to live. Women were property, hardly had any rights, and the social rules and etiquette of the day were some of the strictest in history. The perfect setting for putting a heroine in peril and at the mercy of her circumstances…and allow Broderick to come in and save the day…or will she be saving him????

Updated Author Notes

This story has come a LONG way from it's conception. New characters have been added and I finally know who JTR is–in my story, that is, not real life. Not only that, Angus will have a pretty sexy role in this book as we get to explore his heart and his new love. What kind of a woman would be a perfect match for Broderick's nemesis? You've already met her…at the end of Book 4. Looking forward to seeing reactions about her and this new development.

But the biggest change of all is Broderick's role in this story. I'm putting Rick in the “friend zone” for Book 5 and Davina/Christbelle will already have a love interest when Rick comes on the scene. Hrmmm…let's see how well that goes over with our vampire hero.

  1. I am reading through all your concepts for these stories, and each one gets better than the last. I think Arial I am in for the ride of my life, because I am loving what you are writing. I cannot wait to start these books, with #1 first of course. LOL

    1. Woo hoo!! That is one thing I’m trying to do is pace myself so I don’t come out of the gate with an amazing story and then everything goes downhill from there. Trying to build things up AND I’m getting better at my writing as I go along, so that helps improve the quality of the stories, as well. Crossing my fingers I accomplish those goals. So far, so good! Reviews get better with each book. 😀 Enjoy!

  2. Eagerly awaiting the next book! I love them & have actually turned a few people on to them as well!
    Keep up the great work!!!

  3. So far I’ve absolutely loved all four books that I’ve read of this series and I’m looking forward to reading Midnight Savior.
