Meet the characters of the Bonded By Blood Vampire Chronicles. I'll be posting more characters as the books progress and I'll try not to include any spoilers. Of course, if you haven't read the books, some of these characters might spoil a thing or two for the earlier books, so be forewarned! (More characters coming soon, so keep checking back for updates!)
Son of Hamish and Moira, Broderick was the eldest of his two brothers – Maxwell & Donnell. Born with a sword in his hand and raised in the Highlands, Broderick is a rugged Scotsman through and through!
With his father and brothers, Broderick built their family estates and became the Lord of Glenstrae. Both his brothers had wives and children while Broderick focused on finishing Glenstrae and settling in with his own wife, Evangeline. However, during a May Day celebration in 1485 at his manor – with his brothers and their family in attendance – Angus Campbell attacked the estate and slaughtered Broderick's family, leaving Broderick for dead. Evangeline escaped and was rescued by a convent.
Not a Lady born, but a lady raised, Davina Stewart was born to Parlan and Lilias in Stewart Glen. Davina is the youngest of her and her brother Kehr.
Due to her loose connections to the crown through her father, she was betrothed to Ian Russell – a marriage that benefited her brother and father with wealth while Parlan promised coveted contacts for Ian and his father Munro.
Angus is the bastard son of Alissa Campbell, who died when she gave birth to Angus's brother, Ewan. Raised by his spiteful step-father, Fraser Campbell, Angus has forever been reminded of his illegitimacy.
Wars between the Campbells and MacDougals have made Angus a war-toughed Scotsman with a heart full of vengeance…and immortality is his path to revenge.. . . .
Married to Broderick MacDougal and mother to Cailin, Davina has had a hard marriage with all the problems Angus Campbell has heaped upon her and her family. But she wouldn't change a thing and she's definitely not complaining!
Being the wife to this particular Vamsyrian is worth every moment. And Rick loves Cailin as if she were his own flesh and blood. Davina couldn't have asked for a better father for her daughter.
As a toddler, Cailin took to Broderick immediately and she became the daughter he dreamed of having. Growing up as the adopted daughter of a Vamsyrian, though, had its trauma and tribulations. Taking matters into her own hands, she insisted her father teach her hand-to-hand combat.
However, twirling daggers became second nature and wielding a needle for embroidery a pretty scary task now. How's a girl in early Renaissance supposed to woo her betrothed when she can't even run a household or stitch a cushion to save her life?
James is a man who knows what he wants—a ship to captain, the title of Fencing Master…and the fiery Cailin MacDougal, the daughter of his business partner, Broderick MacDougal. But Rick is more than just his future father-in-law—he's the father he wished he had.
After James's mother Fiona died, his father Alistair became grief-stricken and absent. Luckily, Broderick took James under his wing, giving the young Knightly a positive role model who funded his schooling.
