Amazon Payments Now Available

You Can Use Amazon Payments to Purchase Items on My Site!

I am REALLY excited to announce that I've just implemented Amazon Payments on my website. What does this mean for my customers? It means if you already have an Amazon account, you can sign in through that to complete transactions…right on my website. The best part about this is you don't have to enter your address or payment information and go through the whole registration process on my site. There's no extra forms to fill out. You just login, verify info, and pay. 😀

However, WooCommerce (my shopping cart) is integrated with Amazon so you will automatically be registered on my website, which is how you can claim your freebies!! You can still use your VIP Coupons and access your goodies! WOOT! Or shall I say WOO!!

I just used the shopping cart and I can't believe how EASY it was!!! *Arial does the Snoopy dance* So here's how it works…

  1. Just add something to your shopping cart – eBooks or print books or whatever I have on my site for purchase.
  2. When you're done shopping, go to your shopping cart (“Cart” menu item at the top)
  3. As an option in your cart, you can choose “Pay with Amazon”!!!

  4. That should open a pop-up window for you to enter your Amazon account information. Note the address bar in popup window.

  5. After you login to your account, you'll get to verify your shipping information and also your payment method, nice and pretty as you please!

  6. You'll also see your shopping cart items at the bottom of this page. Just click on the Checkout button and you're all set!

Voila! No information to fill out. Just sign in through Amazon and you're all set to go. It's as easy as shopping on Amazon! You will then receive a confirmation e-mail from my website, with a download link if you purchased eBooks, and an e-mail from Amazon stating you sent “Arial Burnz” a payment. I LOVE IT!!

PayPal is still an option for customers who'd like to use their PayPal account. Just click the “Proceed to Checkout” button instead of the “Pay with Amazon” button.

That's my two pence…

May Give-Away!

EDIT: I've added something new to the contest – for everyone person who enters the contest, I'll donate 50 cents* to the needy pet organization Petsmart uses for charity. Money will be donated at my next trip to Petsmart.

This is my first month of give-aways and I thought it might be neat to pick from the List of Commemorative Months I found on Wikipedia and use that as the themes for my monthly give-aways. The list is HUGE, so I have a lot to choose from. However, I also need to match this list with the goodies I received from the Romantic Times Book Lover's Convention. As a side note, some of the commemorative themes were really off the wall or things I just could not support. Such as…
–National Egg Month. :
–National Salad Month
–National Do Not Eat Cheese Before Noon Month…I kid you not and there is NOOOO way I could support that!

Some I could get behind 100% and there are a little too many to mention (and most of them are great causes), but here are some I thought deserved honorable mentions…

–National Chocolate Custard Month
–National Clean Energy Month
–Uranus Awareness Month (I had some erotic romances I could have used for this…but I'll save that one. Seriously, it might be a good idea to bring awareness to this planet as it may end up in the realm of Pluto if we're not careful…but I didn't have any books of space adventures to give away.)
–National Zombie Awareness Month – No, darn it, I didn't have any zombie books to give away!

The one I chose for this month is NATIONAL PET MONTH! I had two books I thought fitting for this month that I wasn't sure I'd be able to use for any other month… Continue reading
