Super short post today! As promised on Tuesday, here is my Flash Fiction Friday piece featuring vampires. I found the following prompt on the Reedsy website:

In the form of text messages, write a conversation between a young tech-savvy vampire and an ancient vampire who doesn't know how to text.

I didn’t use the “doesn’t know how to text” part because, well, as a writer of vampires, the idea that someone who’s been around for hundreds or thousands of years wouldn’t know how to send a text message was just ludicrous to me. (Because vampires are so realistic!) BUT I could totally understand an ancient vampire not knowing how to use a dating app. That’s definitely plausible for someone with old fashioned ideals.

I still used the prompt’s instruction on writing it in the form of text messages, though.
