I’m obviously on a ghost story kick, so I’m just gonna go with it! I hope you enjoy this week’s short story.

The Ghost Hunter

Ralph glanced at his watch – 11:47pm. Time to go.

He grabbed his manilla folder with the newspaper clippings, copies of historical records, and his notes, tossed down the last mouthful of coffee, and locked up his motel room before getting behind the wheel of his Toyota Corolla.

Bringing up his dash navigation, he plotted the directions to the Old Mill Road and tapped the START button.

“Come on, Clara,” he mumbled as he left the parking lot. “Show up for me this time.”

When Ralph had come through this remote town, just passing through, he’d heard the rumors of the woman on Old Mill Road. One conversation led to another, and Ralph was hooked. He was going to find this woman or die trying.
