A special thank you to all those who have gone over to Kindle Vella and gave my new serial a thumbs up. I’d love to see some comments and interact with you! Don’t be shy!

If you’re new to my newsletter, I release a new episode for my paranormal romance series - Crescent Alliance - here on Substack every Friday, available to read for paid subscribers. I’m publishing the serial on Kindle Vella, which is why it needs to be behind a paywall here. However, if you’d like to get the serial weeks ahead of the Vella releases AND have a say in how the story progresses, then…

…consider becoming a paid subscriber! It’s only $5 per month or $45 per year. Upgrade today!

And now for the next episode of Crescent Alliance!

Episode 18: Truths in the Shadows

My arms stretched out before me into the darkness, arcing wide in hopes of finding Julian and Dean. Mocking laughter filled my ears.

“What’s wrong, little abomination? Feeling weak and alone without your friends?” The voice laughed, low and deep. “Then why don’t you join them?”

My head spun and I reached for the air around me, trying to grab anything to keep me from spinning and somersaulting nose over toes.

I landed with a grunt, face planting against a hard, smooth surface. The coppery taste of blood filled my mouth. I tongued my split lip and probed to see if I’d lost any teeth. Thankfully, no.

“Maion!” Dean and Julian’s voices penetrated my reeling senses.

I blinked, straining to see through the blackness.

A faint light flickered below, revealing smoky glass bars surrounding me.
