Episode 16: Boundaries and Betrayals
“By the way,” I asked Julian, looking around the hotel pub. “Where’s Dean? I thought he said he was coming down for a beer.”
Since I put the werewolf in his place at the crash site, he’d been avoiding me, and I was trying not to let it show that it bothered me.
“I think he went for a walk instead. He left when I came down to meet Lucien.” Julian glanced around and leaned in. “What do you mean the Shadow Veil isn’t here on Earth?”
Dean’s tall, muscular frame strolled through the entrance to the restaurant and his eyes settled on me. To divert my gaze, I took a sip of my tea.
The thumping of his boots grew closer then stopped at our table. “We need to talk.”
