Episode 15: Searching Shadows
The old Irish farmer—who I am convinced was Dagda in disguise—gave us a lift to the village Clifden just down the road from where he picked us up.
Julian checked the entire group into the Heatherstone Inn—a former 18th century private mansion owned by the O’Malley family, but the current O’Malley owners converted the 15-room estate into a mini-luxury hotel.
Most of the rooms were booked for some local festival coming up next week, so our group paired up and bunked together. Jessica and Victor, old friends and no stranger to sharing accommodations, got a room together. The werewolves took one of the royal suites, and Dean, Julian, and I took the other.
They claimed they didn’t want to let me out of their sight. I wasn’t going to argue because I didn’t mind the company. Besides, having a vampire around made me sleep easier at night knowing he didn’t need to sleep and was watching my six.
