Episode 11: After the Fall
Metallic groans. Screams of terror. Wind rushing. My stomach dropped during a pocket of silence before the explosion of impact. Branches whipped the hull with ratt-a-tatt chaos. Metal screeched. Glass shattered. A sickening crunch of bones, and then darkness.
A bright light invaded my skull through my eyelids, and I lifted my hand to shield it.
“My sweet, Saraquel,” the voice sang to my soul, filling me with a joy I couldn’t begin to describe.
I tried to open my eyes, but the light was far too bright. A gentle hand pressed over my heart.
“Not yet. You have so much to do.”
Heat surged through my chest, infused my torso, and my mouth opened in a silent scream.
“Maion!”
