Episode 03: The Whisper of Shadows

Running from demons before I’d had my morning coffee was not my idea of a stellar start to my day. But here I was, parkouring off a brick building in an alley and leaping over dumpsters to avoid the hoard skittering behind me.

Yanking my shotgun from the holster off my back, I cartwheeled off said dumpster, chambered a shell, and blasted the face off the snarling minor demon. What remained of his corporeal form burst into flames and ash before my boots landed on the pavement. I had enough time to toast two more before the other six closed in and I sprinted into the open streets.
