My apologies for not getting a Flash Fiction Friday post done last week. I was getting a root canal! Yay! « Note the sarcasm.

On top of that, we’re still dealing with Zedd’s elderly condition, so emotionally, I wasn’t really up for writing, which has suffered along with my housework these last two weeks. Zedd has good days and bad days. :( We’re taking it one moment at a time.

We’re picking up with Episode 7 of Sanguine Serendipity, the vampire serial…

Sanguine Serendipity - Episode 7

Word count - 1000 words

“Welcome, esteemed delegates!” Cornelius announced.

Vincent, controlling the audio-visual room on the balcony overlooking the assembly, dimmed and raised the lights for attention. The immortal world leaders gradually returned to their seats in the theater-type arrangement of desks for the first Vampire Elite Summit in history.

Cornelius searched for Eva, whom he had not seen in weeks. True to her word, she’d locked herself in the lab to focus on Dominic’s special serum to dominate the world. She was creating two serums – to give the world leaders a boost, but Dominic’s was supposedly ten times better.

Eva’s latest release of the EverThirst formula two weeks ago was absent of the violent side effects and vampires young and old seemed to be back to normal.

Silence invaded Cornelius’s thoughts. All eyes were on him. He forced himself to say, “Please rise to receive his excellency, Emperor Dominic Carpathia.”

The delegates stood and faced the rear double doors of the auditorium, where Dominic sauntered in, dripping with jewels and a crown. The emperor’s sneer chilled Cornelius to his core but he bowed respectfully as Dominic assumed the center of attention.
