In my experience, rules were made to be broken – I am a writer, after all. My exception to the “he needs to smile” rule is David Gandy. David doesn’t need to smile. In fact, he can just show up. Free passes all around for David.
I’m wondering about the texture of his lips in this photo. Look soft, don’t you think? Hmmm…makes a girl wonder…
And David can go ahead and scowl all he wants. I’m not sayin a damn word.

Let’s go over what we’re learned—names are important, conversation, eyeing each other, and the building of trust. You’ve got all that, right? Then let’s talk about the good stuff. That’s right—7 through 12.
7. Mouth to mouth
8. Hand to Head
9. Hand to Body
10. Mouth to Bosom
11. Hand to Erogenous Zones.
7, 9, 10, 11, and 12 are all expected—it’s Sex Ed 101. What surprises me is 8—head to hand. Continue reading →
Welcome to Part 6 of Sarah Grimm’s guest blog on the Summer Scorcher Blog Tour – Week 2. If this is your first stop, you’ll want to start at Part 1 (Sarah’s blog) and continue to Amie, Lisa, AJ, then Darlene before returning here:
This is Week 1 and I’m honored to be the kick-off to our HOT and SEXY Scorcher Blog Tour! We have a great line-up for the next six weeks of HOT romance topics. And to make it a little more interesting…instead of reading the same blog post on six different blogs, we’re splitting the post up, so you’ll start at one blog and stop off at the other locations on the tour to read each part.
My novel MIDNIGHT CONQUEST is a vampire romance set in the early 1500s of Scotland, and is the first in a six-book series called BONDED BY BLOOD. As such, I thought it would be appropriate to explore the topic: Why Vampires Are Sexy.
Personally, there’s nothing hotter than a hungry alpha male wanting to devour me! Imagine that raw sexuality, mixed with danger, a pair of muscular arms wrapped around you, and sexual hunger that goes deeper than just a physical attraction. *drool* My vampire tales are not for teens! I’m fond of saying, “My vampires don’t sparkle…they EAT people…in more ways than one!” *eyebrow wiggle* Continue reading →

I LOVE technology! It's made my life so much easier as a writer…among other things. I remember the days of writing my novels on yellow, lined legal pads or typewriter (yes, I know, I'm dating myself) and then came the awesome personal computer: My first being a Tandy 1000. Sure, it was DOS based and monochrome, but HOLY COW, no more white-out or retyping a page!
Then the development of the Internet and WHAM! the world of writing exploded in so many ways. The best part about the Internet, as far as I'm concerned with writing, is E-MAIL SUBMISSIONS!! The days of packaging up that 250+ page manuscript are over! YAY! The latest technologies of tablets and eBook readers just makes my head spin when I think of all the possibilities! Apple announced it's two newest features for the iPad, and it inspired me to write this blog entry to chat about ten things writers can do to take advantage of today's technology to either write or promote their writing. E-mail, computers, and the Internet in general are givens, so I've thrown out some options that incorporate those. Here they are (in no particular order): Continue reading →
Taking a break from the horrible situation happening in Egypt and from my Twitter and Facebook pages, I'm happy to say that my major revisions for ETERNAL CONQUEST are finished! These were the revisions I needed to make AFTER I was offered the contract from The Wild Rose Press in their Black Rose line. I met my deadline and had the changes into my editor before the end of December 2010. However, my editor had an unfortunate accident with her computer, and though she thankfully recovered, she is a little behind schedule. Which means she won't be able to get to ETERNAL CONQUEST until the end of this month. That's okay! I have lots of other books to write! Continue reading →
Again, another long bout of time has passed since I participated in my favorite online writing exercise. I've been occupied getting certified in Hypnotherapy (Need to lose weight or quit smoking? I'm yer gal and we CAN do it over the phone!) and with those skills, I've developed a number of classes called Writing Workshops in Wonderland. Believe it or not, I believe I have found the cure for writer's block and I also do phone consultations to teach you the methods ($25).
[Fiction] Friday Challenge #189 for Jan 7th, 2011Your character wakes in a circus tent. They are wearing baggy pink pants and a polka-dot frilled shirt. A midget in a strong man outfit is shaking them awake asking if they are all right. Now keep writing.
Again, I am blessed to have such amazingly talented friends!!! I met Trish Albright about 2 years ago at an RWA meeting and purchased her first book, and over the last couple of years, we only met on one or two other occasions. I had the pleasure of spending a lot more time with her at the recent RT convention and she is just a joy to be around…truly a kindred spirit.
Having a little more time on my hands recently, I was able to DEVOUR her romantic adventure, “Siren's Song” and could not put the book down! Wow! What a page-turner! No exaggeration here, it was a fabulous adventure! Continue reading →
