Summer Scorcher Blog Tour – Week 6 – The Perfect Hero

Welcome to part two of my blog post on the Scorcher Blog Tour.
If you missed part one, please go here: http://findingthewritewords.blogspot.com

Thank you, Arial, for hosting me on your site!

In my last post we were about to breakdown our perfect hero into sections. But before we do that, we need to welcome our five heroes into the room. They’ve graciously allowed us to perform a little experimentation.

Let’s start with our hero’s personality. His personality must shine. AJ, Lisa, Arial, and Sarah like their hero with a good sense of humour, patient, committed, and good natured. While Amie likes a hero who doesn’t take himself too seriously. Amie wants her hero to let her show him how it’s really done. Amie, you naughty little girl!

Now that Amie has introduced us to the naughty side of the scorcher ladies, let’s take it up a level and move on to our hero’s body. Breathe ladies, breathe.

We’ll start with the top of his head. A hero must have a head of full, thick hair that you just can’t wait to run your fingers through…right? Maybe not. . Sarah slips her fingers through her hero’s black hair with a slight wave. AJ is sinking her fingers into her hero’s soft and wavy hair. AJ isn’t fussy on colour, liking both dark brown and dark blond, while Arial is more partial to a colour of spun gold in sunlight. Then there’s Amie who has a secret obsession for dark, short, thick, and wavy…shhh, don’t tell her real hero, who’s bald! Amie will have to hide her hero from Lisa who likes her hero’s shaved head.

Next are those eyes. Those dreamy, lose yourself into eyes. Sarah swoons over her hero’s big brown eyes. AJ and Amie are fighting over the green-eyed hero, while Arial and Lisa go weak at the knees for a blue or green eyed hero. It sounds to me like these two wicked ladies will stare into any hero’s good looking eyes.

What about that voice? That oh-so sexy voice. AJ, Arial, Lisa, and Sarah like the deep, gravelly, and raspy voice. Arial is almost purring as her hero’s voice comforts and soothes her. Then there’s Amie, our naughty little scorcher, who does like her hero to have that deep tone with a little whiskey added to it. Wait! Amie likes to listen to her hero while he’s drinking a glass of whiskey? Correction…Amie likes the deep timbre voice, like aged whiskey. Oops, my mistake.

Is it time to go already? If you want to read the next instalment, go to Sarah’s blog. BUT before you go, answer my question below. AND don’t forget to comment on all of my six instalments of The Perfect Hero for a chance to win a PDF copy of Keeping Secrets. You MUST answer all six questions from each instalment to have your name included in the draw. The winner will then move on to the grand prize drawing of a $30 Amazon Gift Card.

Question 2: Tell me about your perfect hero’s personality, and describe his hair, eyes, and voice.

  1. My hero has to have a great sense of humor. No doubt about it! I also like a man who’s patient. One that thinks before he speaks. Especially since I’m usually the one flying off the handle!! Bright green eyes and a thick head of dark wavy hair completes the picture. Oh wait…I think I just described my dh! LOL!

  2. Hmm. I’m with AJ, except for the hair. Definitely blue or green eyes. I’ve always wondered why people like brown eyes. I have brown eyes and think they’re kind of boring, unless they have flecks of gray, gold, etc. The only time my eyes have green/gold flecks is when my face is red – perhaps a sunburn or maybe a blush when my hero touches my face with his very manly, well-groomed fingers. Oh, yes. Hands, fingers, feet and even toes are super important! I don;t insist on metrosexual mani and pedis, just not ragged, bitten to the quick or dirty- yuck! Unless the dirt is there from savng me from some dangerous situation where there might be mud or something 🙂
I am also partial to taller men with broad shoulders, tapered to hips, etc. Muscles, but not muscle bound, you know?
Personality – here i’m with AJ. Patient, thoughtful, really funny, self-deprecating to a point, perhaps humble is a better term. The voice to go with it is definitely deep and growly. In fact, when authors add the word “growl” to a hero’s vocabulary, especially during the seduction or sex, I always nearly, well, get very excited!
Gee, this was fun. Now, all I need to do is find me one of these and I’ll be a happy camper!

  3. Ooh- definitely green or very dark brown eyes. He needs a soft but husky voice and patient. I have a terrible Irish temper so I need someone who doesn’t react to it. Dark brown/black hair with those green eyes is HOT! A sense of humor is critical to help me laugh at myself, and he has to be able to laugh at himself too. And not jealous. I can’t stand that type of green eyes!
