Scorcher Blog Tour: Why Vampires Are Sexy – Part 1

This is Week 1 and I’m honored to be the kick-off to our HOT and SEXY Scorcher Blog Tour! We have a great line-up for the next six weeks of HOT romance topics. And to make it a little more interesting…instead of reading the same blog post on six different blogs, we’re splitting the post up, so you’ll start at one blog and stop off at the other locations on the tour to read each part.

My novel MIDNIGHT CONQUEST is a vampire romance set in the early 1500s of Scotland, and is the first in a six-book series called BONDED BY BLOOD. As such, I thought it would be appropriate to explore the topic: Why Vampires Are Sexy.

Personally, there’s nothing hotter than a hungry alpha male wanting to devour me! Imagine that raw sexuality, mixed with danger, a pair of muscular arms wrapped around you, and sexual hunger that goes deeper than just a physical attraction. *drool* My vampire tales are not for teens! I’m fond of saying, “My vampires don’t sparkle…they EAT people…in more ways than one!” *eyebrow wiggle*

Before we sink our teeth into this hot topic, let’s check in and give a purpose to your post. In most fiction today, vampires have heightened senses and frequently cross over into the realm of psychic connections. Exciting the six senses as it pertains to vampires…we’ll explore the sense of touch in this post.

What do YOU find hot about the TOUCH of a vampire? Some fiction has vampires cool or even cold to the touch. Others have them burning hot because of the blood they’ve consumed. Or perhaps you’re more aroused by the sensuality of that crimson kiss…the nibbles and bites of fangs. Do tell!

  1. Vampires ARE sexy. They project a gorgeous image, a too-die-for body, charm, and everything else that would make you drool. As far as I can see right now, the only draw back to vampires is…they drink your blood and kill you. If you can get past that, they are very sexy.

  2. I’m not sure about the touch, depends on hot or cold I suppose. I wouldn’t really mind cold so much, but I would prefer hot any day. I think the haughty way vampires are portrayed-classical, cultured, etc…-is what makes me like them!

  3. I’m a big fan of the vampires that say towards the bondage end of there existence. I see vampires as the ultimate in dark sexuality. They like to dominate and be possessive because what is more possessive than blood sharing? Need me an alpha vamp all the way!

  4. Hi, Arial:
I’m back for a sec.. I’m having trouble posting on AJs blog. Certain ways of using blogger don;t seem to work for me. It keeps asking me to sign in, I type in the correct code and it brings me back to sign in! I’ve had this problem for the longest and the folks at blogger can’t help. So…if you could accept this post in its place, i’d be ever so grateful! Here is what I wrote:
“I agree with Linds – it’s the growling that usually seals the deal for me. I’d love to be with a man who growls when he kisses me!”
    Thanks!

    1. Ok, here’s what AJ said. It might solve future problems for you (and anyone else having the same problem): This happens a lot in Blogger. She needs to uncheck the “keep me logged in” box when she signs in. If that little bugger is checked, Blogger gets caught up in a loop and she won’t be able to post a comment.

      I hope that helps!!

  5. Vampires are classic and are my favourite paranormal creatures. They are sensual and charismatic. If they happen to have an accent then I’m a goner.
