Book Review – “Siren’s Song” by Trish Albright

Again, I am blessed to have such amazingly talented friends!!! I met Trish Albright about 2 years ago at an RWA meeting and purchased her first book, and over the last couple of years, we only met on one or two other occasions. I had the pleasure of spending a lot more time with her at the recent RT convention and she is just a joy to be around…truly a kindred spirit.

Having a little more time on my hands recently, I was able to DEVOUR her romantic adventure, “Siren's Song” and could not put the book down! Wow! What a page-turner! No exaggeration here, it was a fabulous adventure!

About the Book

Here's the back of the book blurb:

Alexandra Stafford always considered herself an adventurous sort. Escaping slave traders – no problem. Captaining a ship on storm-tossed seas – piece of cake. But putting on a gown and attending a ball for the crรจme de la crรจme of London Society โ€” now that terrified her. Especially if she had to dance with the new duke of Worthington. He held her way too close, made her heart beat way too fast, muddled her thoughts with his silken kisses.

Worthington knew Alex was trouble the minute he laid eyes on her. She was stalked by a relentless enemy and enmeshed in a powerful prophecy, but even buy valium with no prescription cheap that couldn't keep him away from the captivating heiress. To earn her love, he'd risk his life – again and again – and completely surrender himself to the… SIREN'S SONG.

My Two Pence…

Great opening chapter! Alex is in peril from page one and the hero dives right in to risk his life for her. LOVED it! Trish does a great job of creating lively characters you can't help fall in love with and the adventures these two share have you on the edge of your seat. To top it all off, the humor mixed in with the suspense is a fabulous mixture for a rich story that has you wondering what the heck is going to happen next! I don't want to say anything to spoil the story, but suffice it to say, ancient prophecies, mysteries of the sea, breathless moments between the hero and heroine and delightful humor make this a must-read. As her site says, “Gasp. Laugh. Cry. Sigh. Breathe. Repeat.” True to form, Trish Albright does NOT disappoint! Check out her web site for a video clip of a very dramatic read of the first chapter. It's wonderful!

That's my two pence…

P.S. I'm on book 2 – Siren's Secret – and I dare say I'm enjoying it even more than Siren's Song…if that is at all possible!
