Welcome to my web site! Since I’m using a WordPress web site on my own server, I’ve not only increased the flexibility and options for my site…I’ve also increased the amount of questions coming in regarding the new features. How do I register on your web site?
Registration on my site is actually not necessary unless you make a purchase. Anytime you add items to the shopping cart AND checkout, the top of the checkout page will have a place for you to either login to your existing account, or join if this is your first time making a purchase on my site. That is the time you’ll be invited to register. Once you’ve made a purchase, future visits will allow you to login OR you can visit your account information by going to the Products Page > Your Account. If you aren’t already logged in, it will ask you to do so at Your Account page.
Also note, once you’ve logged in to your account, a bar should appear at the top of the page looking something like this (see picture below). At any time this bar is present, you can click on “Arial Burnz – Author & Artist” to return to my home page OR you can mouseover your username on the left side and edit or view your profile/account information. Your profile will also allow you to manage your subscriptions to my web site for purposes of being notified whenever I make updates.
What if I forget my password?
No problem! If you try to login and your password is incorrect, you’ll be directed to the WordPress login page for my site…and it might look a little strange as it doesn’t look like the rest of my site:
However, notice the link at the bottom that says, “Back to Arial Burnz – Author & Artist” as well as the URL in the address bar that will still have “http://www.arialburnz.com/wp…” You’re still with me!
At this point, you can…
- Try your password again
- Register if this is your first time purchasing
- OR you can click on the “Lost your password?” link.
If you choose the last option, you’ll be asked for the e-mail address you used to login the first time you registered. A password reset link will be e-mailed to that address if that address is in my system. Just access your e-mail and follow that link and you’ll have the option of resetting your password.
Please note that I do not have your password information. It’s stored confidentially in the system, so I have no way of resetting it myself. You will need to follow the above instructions so you can reset your password on your own. This is for your protection and privacy. 
Once you’ve reset your password and logged in, you’ll be taken to your account profile. You should have that WordPress bar across the top of your screen (as pictured in the above question). If you want to return to my site, just click on “Arial Burnz – Author & Artist” button on the left-side of the bar.
Is purchasing on your site secure?
Absolutely! I am PayPal verified and use them for all my transactions. They’re one of the most trusted and well-known ways of conducting secure transactions on the web. Click on my “PayPal Verified” seal if you wish to see my credentials. Please note: You must have a PayPal account to check verification of another PayPal member.
PayPal Security Tips
To ensure your PayPal account remains secure, here are a couple of security tips:
- Before logging into to ANY PayPal page, be sure the URL in the address bar begins with, “https://www.paypal.com/…”
- NEVER follow a link from an e-mail to login to your PayPal account. ALWAYS go directly to a browser and type in the PayPal address.
What if I don’t have a PayPal account?
No problem!! Though you may need an account to verify if another PayPal member if verified, you do not need a PayPal account to make a purchase. PayPal gives you an option to pay via credit/debit card. When you click on the PURCHASE button in the shopping cart, you’ll be taken to the PayPal order summary page. Just click on the “Don’t have a PayPal account?” link under the PayPal login section to fill out your credit card information to complete your transaction.
